NAME: Martin Booth

AGE: 25 now, but 26 for the start of PG2008

OCCUPATION: Mechanical Engineer (speciality: changing tyres and oil changes)

NICKNAME: "Betty", "Boothby", "Boothroid", "The Booth", "Boothmeister", "Booooooooth"

LOWEST EVER SCORE: The credibility of my 69 has been under scrutiny for some time now as it occurred without witnesses of any kind (Except Mr Ping of course who was responsible for the sinking of the 69th shot. He's a modest chap though so is keeping stum for now.) It's a fair point I suppose. Therefore, I will declare 74 as my career best which was played off the back tees at Craigmillar Park under competitive conditions and pocketed me a medal-winning £41.

FAVOURITE COURSE PLAYED: Craigmillar Park Golf Club

GREATEST EVER SHOT/GOLFING MOMENT: Consistent solid-hitting during the fourball at Castle Park PG2007.

WEAKNESS: Low confidence levels on putts inside 3-feet. Lower confidence levels on putts outside 3-feet.

FAVOURITE CLUB: Mr Burner on some days, but Mr 8-Iron on most when Mr Burner is misbehaving. Occasionally Mr Ping when he's in a particularly good mood.

MOST HATED HOLE: 9th hole a Craigmillar. The out-of-bounds on the right swallows up shots with even a hint of slice to ruin many a round. Andy has experienced this hurt possibly more than me.

WORST EVER SCORE: It's hard to put a number on it.

GOALS FOR THE SEASON: To bring Sally to Derby.

CLUBS: Callaway Steelhead X-14 irons, Taylor Made Burner driver, Lynx Boom Boom 3-wood, Ping putter
