Name: Alan Grant
Age: 28
Occupation: Communications Guru (although there’s an exciting opportunity which might come to fruition before PG2008)
NICKNAME: "Al", "Big Al", "Big
Yin"
Lowest ever score: 91 (sometime ago I must add – and not beaten in 2007!)
Favourite course played: the new Carrick at Cameron House course - only managed 9 holes due to inclement weather... but it was still a Championship course (Ladies Scottish Open is played there).
GREATEST EVER SHOT/GOLFING MOMENT: Driving within 10ft of the pin on the par 4, 4th at the Braids must rankle as some sort of achievement and my performance in the Foursomes during PG2008 taking McG and Boothy to the last second to last hole also stays high in the memory
Weakness: Pure inconsistency on a shot by shot basis!
Favourite Club: Most certainly the 5-iron, although my putter has been quite friendly to me at the start of this golfing season!
Most hated hole: There has got to be a few contenders on the Braids!
Worst ever score: non-carded round at the Braids - there may be knowledge of it somewhere but I certainly don't want to know it!
Goals for the season: remains to crack the 90 and to collect an individual point for Team North in PG2008!
Clubs: Confidence (ironic eh?) – although there will hopefully be some new pegs in the bag for early May
