(...assuming Jimbo hasn't broken his thumb come August...)

Out of Bounds off the tee or lost ball: If, as is likely to happen often, you blooter your first tee shot into the abyss and opt to play a second which also goes wayward you do not need to play a fifth from the tee. You may instead head down to a sensible location somewhere near where a decent drive might have finished (with agreement of your opponent) and drop a ball there. You would then play as if that ball had been your third shot off the tee and play your fourth from where you have dropped. Similarly if you were to trudge the best part of 200yds to where your ball should've been and there is no sign of it after a lengthy search, then rather than marching all the way back to the tee, a similar drop may be administered with your next shot being your fourth. All actions should be cleared with your opponent.

Preferred lies: There wll be NO preferred lies unless agreed between opponents on a case-by-case basis. Personally I don't think it's fair if you pay good money, hit the middle of the fairway and still find yourself having to play out of a divot, but this is one for discussion.

Finishing rounds: All games should be played to a [strokeplay] finish, regardless if matchplay has been decided.

Scorecards: It is advised that all scores should be kept by EACH player in the group. Scorecards must match and be signed otherwise the point will be forfeited. Aye, right. A form/chart will be devised however so as to record each person's score and result.

Common sense and agreement: Naturally in all cases common sense should prevail and as long as an agreement can be reached between opponents, then there shouldn't be a problem. Afterall, this ain't the Ryder Cup...
